Wind energy is a clean renewable energy source that won't run out. Even though using wind turbines is new, the concept of using wind is not. We use wind to make sail boats go and to pump water out of the ground. So we have been using the kinetic energy from the wind for  years. We just haven't used it for electricity! Harnessing the wind is one of the cleanest, most sustainable ways to generate electricity. Wind power produces no toxic emissions and none of the heat-catching emissions that add to global warming. This, and the fact that wind power is one of the most abundant and growing resources, makes it a viable alternative to the fossil fuels that harm our health and threaten the environment.
